GEMMA KIRBY

biography

From Dump Trucks, to stilettos, to rolling paddocks to #mumlife – Gemma Kirby has walked it all. This stunning country music performer has left an indelible mark on the Australian music industry over the last decade.

Gemma's journey to success has been filled with highs and memorable moments, including being handpicked as the support act for ADAM BRAND'S Get on your Feet Tour (2018). But her greatest achievement and biggest challenge came when she embraced motherhood and settled on her picturesque farm in Maleny, Queensland.

Gemma burst onto the country music scene in 2015 with her debut single "Fallen Soldier" from her album "Semi-Precious." The song, recorded with award-winning Producer Matt Fell, struck a chord with audiences and remained in the top 40 CMC video charts for an impressive 15 weeks. Not only that, but the accompanying video also earned her a spot as a finalist in the 2016 People's Choice Awards, cementing her status as a rising star.

Her second single, "Coal Train," from the same album further solidified her presence in the country and mainstream media. Gemma's unique voice, edgy lyrics, and captivating performances caught the attention of music enthusiasts and critics alike.

However, as life evolved, Gemma made the decision to take some time off to focus on raising her young family. The world of country music and touring took a backseat to the joys of motherhood.

Though stepping away from the limelight, Gemma's passion for music never faded. Instead, it grew stronger with every moment she spent with her family on the farm. The farm setting provided her with new inspiration and allowed her to refine her direction and vision for her music career.

Now, after a well-deserved break, Gemma Kirby is ready to make her comeback. Armed with the experiences of motherhood, deeper wisdom and the unmatched passion for her craft, she is poised to reclaim her spot in the Australian country music scene.
